2010 Scholarship Awarded

We are very pleased to announce that Jiayi N. Yang, a graduating senior at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, MD, is the winner of the 2009-2010 PMI Montgomery County MD Chapter Scholarship. He successfully completed the Project Management quiz, properly provided all the needed information and signatures, and was randomly selected as this year’s winner. He will be attending the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in the fall. He plans to major in business management and will be taking a project management class after learning about what this is through the scholarship quiz.
2009 Scholarship Awarded
Congratulations to Brittney (Brit) Hicks of James H. Blake High School, for her selection in our PMI Montgomery County Chapter scholarship. She successfully passed a quiz, which covered the basics of project management, and was selected by the board at random to receive the scholarship.
She has been accepted and plans to attend Liberty University.
We wish here the best of luck for the future!

On November 1st, the PMI Montgomery County, MD Chapter held its third annual member appreciation dinner. The event was FREE for chapter members, which was a $35 value.

Three new board members were announced:
* Gene Egry-VP of Membership
* Peggy Stroncek-VP of Education and Certification
* and Ron Griffin-VP of Programs.
We congratulate them and welcome their support in the coming year.
We also want to extend our sincere appreciation for the hard work and efforts of outgoing board members Melissa Bauman, Rene Moreau, and especially Marilyn Madden for two years of great service.
