We are proud to offer our next dinner meeting at Normandie Farm Restaurant located at 10710 Falls Road, Potomac, MD (Phone: 301-983-8838, web site http://www.popovers.com ) next Wednesday, May 6, 2009.
 
Directions: Take Rt 270 to the Falls Road exit.  Proceed south towards Potomac.  Normandie Farm is 3 1/2 miles on the right.
 
Alternate directions: take the beltway, RT 495 to exit 39.  Proceed west on River Road 3 1/2 miles.  Turn right onto Falls Road and proceed 3/4 mile to Normandie Farm on the left.

Bio:          Lindsey Hoggle, PMP
 

E-Health strategist & Project Manager with over 20 years combined experience in health care and health informatics. An entrepreneur, writer, educator, and health care informaticist with a diversity of professional experience and training. Determination to make a positive impact on the challenging world of health care along with a lifelong curiosity about technology helped evolve to the present role. Founded Health Project Partners, LLC for her consulting needs, then after a year of intensive health policy and trends analysis, founded Opportune Health, Inc.  It is a resource for patients and health consumers who want to improve their health care experience and thereby improve health.  Decades of personal experience navigating complex health care for her family helped prompt the founding of Opportune Health, Inc.

Consultant for the past 8 years in the area of biomedical informatics with an emphasis on electronic health records design, project management, testing, and implementation. Skilled in managing difficult projects through to completion, with particular strengths in process redesign, project planning and structured implementations. Her forte is quickly capturing the requirements through collaboration with stakeholders and moving the team forward with the best strategic plan necessary for a successful outcome. 

Passionate about collaborating with physicians, researchers, health care professionals, and patients for creating practical solutions to health issues. Lifelong commitment to enjoying work, contributing to social good and healthy living.

Special interests: emerging new technologies, evidence based medicine, physical fitness, childhood obesity.

Lindsey holds a B.S. in Nutrition from Winthrop University and a M.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of South Carolina She is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and has a certificate in Project Management for Information Technology/Information Systems Professionals from Villanova University.

"Health Care Reform" is a popular topic these days--most everyone agrees that the problems are complex and potential solutions are dependent upon a multitude of interrelated factors. Spiraling health care costs, reduced savings & retirement funds along with a change in policy create a challenging scenario for even the healthy.  We will approach how to navigate health care in today's climate using conventional project management techniques.  What can you do now to influence the best results with available resources?
 
The cost for dinner is $30 for PMI Montgomery County, MD Chapter members and $40 for all others.  Payment by cash or check is expected at the door of the meeting (unless prepaid during registration).
 
Reservations are required.  Please RSVP no later than 5:00 PM Sunday, May 3, 2009. 
 
Note: We will reserve two "job tables" for those people who are looking for another opportunity (new job) and for those people who have openings at their work place for project managers and are seeking to recruit.  These tables will have signs labeled "Job Table".  Please sit at these special tables only if you are seeking a job or seeking to hire people for a job that you have.  Also, please feel free to bring copies of resumes or job postings to share with others at the Job Tables.
